Justin Tyler Berfield (born February 25, 1986) is an American actor, writer and producer, best known for his portrayal of Malcolm's second-oldest brother, Reese, in the Fox sitcom Malcolm in the Middle.He also starred on The WB sitcom Unhappily Ever After as Ross Malloy.He doesn't think about the consequences of his actions.He is a cruel bully who tortures Malcolm at home, even though he defends him at school. A born delinquent and proud of it, Reese isn't afraid to do whatever springs to mind at the drop of a hat regardless of how a bad idea it is, something which he credits to the crazy voice he and all his brothers share.
However, in Dewey's Special Class, Reese, realizing that both Malcolm and Dewey are geniuses, decides to find out what kind of a genius he is.
At the end of the episode, he says to Dewey, "I finally figured out what kind of genius I am. come on Dewey, I've got so much to show you." He has also proven to be a very skilled cook, (Reese Cooks) shown when he prepares an elaborate Thanksgiving dinner for the entire family.
(Thanksgiving) He also seems to be quite good at coming up with plans.
He went on to appear in 20 other nationally broadcast American commercials as a young child.
His TV debut came in the short-lived series The Good Life (1994) in which he co-starred with Drew Carey.
He gets into more trouble than either Dewey or Malcolm and was the biggest bully during middle schoolsomething which the students were actually grateful for since his being a bully stopped an uprising of hundreds of others trying to take his place.
