I had heard positive things from other success stories, but that is definitely not the case. When asked to negotiate an additional date based on the last match lied on his profile (he reported business manager and he was actually hourly construction worker), they said I was introduced so it counts. They don't listen to your interests and will set you up with whoever they want. They keep passing me along to different dating directors. They will not refund your money even though they cannot meet the description of their services. better business bureau, attorney general's office & yelp for honest reviews. So they show me a profile of a guy with zero information about him. After 4 months and not one match I ask how much the membership for just random dates. It finally got to the point in these dates that I think the dating coordinator realized the dates were actually quite awful. She said she wasn't going to charge me anymore until they had more matches in my area. I informed her of what the agreement was when she tried to set me up with a date who was 2 hours away with children (I wish I was kidding) and I wanted to keep the agreement where I wasn't going to be charged until there was a match in my area. About 6 months passed when I called to see what was going on with my file. Funny thing is the date the call had happened, I was vacationing in Europe for 3 weeks!! She then told me "Well, we tried to set you up with good matches." Not quite sure what a good match is in there eyes....... They clearly lie not only to you but make up some interesting stuff to sell you these dates. They seemed so professional until they received my payment. I was set up with exactly the opposite kind of people i requested. I am so thankful I read enough reviews on other sites to "not" invest in IJL.I asked if he had seen my profile and they said no. You don't see profiles and they don't see profiles. I'm a very busy medical professional and had spent some time vacationing in Europe and around the U. I spoke with a different coordinator who told me her manager and I had apparently spoke and I had agreed that I was done with IJL and deactivated my file. I told the coordinator of like to speak to this person and it's been over a month with no call from her. But please whatever you do, stay away from this disaster of a service!! I had heard this from a few of the dates I went with Its just not worth it They were just sued by a group of women in New York for the multiple lies they would tell them. Do not sign up or pay this company any amount of money. After a really bad date, they extended my membership free for 1 month, but guess what? I am sure they will come up with a date right before my membership expires and try to talk me into extending my membership. I just flew Southwest and saw the ad in the magazine they provide and they should pull it!!!I very reluctantly went on a date with one of the gentlemen, who was a very poor match for me.Later, I read a review on this site from 2010 in which the same man is described!
This information will help them fine-tune your next date with a potential match.Dates are arranged by It's Just Lunch to suit each person’s schedule. However, if lunch dates don’t work for your schedule, a drink after work can be arranged. At the end of the date, you may choose to exchange contact information or make plans to get together again. However, the contract states that the period of membership is 6 months or 4 introductions, whichever comes LAST, so you will not get a refund if they cannot find decent matches, and they could drag it out indefinitely. The IJL staff member I spoke to when I joined was very polite and professional. My dating coordinator calls me "sweetie" and does not acknowledge my feedback.
Plus, every week they are informed of couples that met through It’s Just Lunch getting married.
